Downtown Construction Updates

Construction of the Phase 1 trail is underway on North Washington Street.
Construction of the Opera House is underway.

Facades Project
Construction is now underway for the Facades project. NEW!
  • The general contractor is Kemna Restoration.
  • Subcontractors on the project include Brand Electric, Reiss & Partners, Harris Glass Co, Inc, Danco Roofing and Muncie Tent & Awning.

  • A brief weekly informational meeting will be held at 9am every Monday at Kemna’s field office at 114 E. Main Street.

Streetscape Project
Design is continuing on the downtown streetscape project, based on the presentation made to the City Council in January. A copy of the presentation can be reviewed here.

Gateway Trail
Construction is underway on the Phase 1 Gateway Trail. This phase of the project extends from Columbia Street to the Wabash and Erie Canal Center (near the Gray Bridge). Construction is being completed by Leo Brown Construction Company from Logansport.

Owner Occupied Housing
There are still openings for participants in the Town’s Owner Occupied Repair program. This project provides improvements at no cost to eligible homeowners living in the City of Delphi. Applications can be picked up at City Hall, or can be found at this link. Applications will be taken through October 10, 2014.
