Street Department

About the Street Department

Delphi’s Street Deparment, with assistance from seasonal summer workers, is kept busy year-round maintaining 17.9 miles of city streets. More than the usual paving and sidewalk replacement chores, under the direction of department head Aaron Lyons, the crew handles leaf and snow removal, street sweeping, sign installation and maintenance, and yard waste pick up.

Yard waste is picked up curbside during the months of April through October. Grass clippings, small twigs, and weeds must be bagged. Please stack limbs and branches into manageable piles.

Leaf pick up generally begins mid October and runs through November. All leaves must be raked to the curb, not to exceed 4 feet into the roadway.
